I am going to appear for IELTS next month. My vocabulary is not very good. What can I do to improve my vocabulary in one month so that I get high band score in the IELTS test?
Read, read, read, read, read, read, read, read, read, read, read, read, read, read When reading is impossible, listen to an audio book reading. Anything and everything is possible.
From periodicals, literature, and newspapers, to name a few sources. And, if you come across a new word, don't assume you know what it means. Stop, jot it down somewhere, and search up the definition and examples of how to use it in a sentence. Look for synonyms and, if applicable, use the new word the next time you have a discussion or need to write.
Every time I tried to add to a conversation, I struggled to find the right words to convey myself. Writing a work email would take me hours. So I started doing this a few weeks ago, and let me tell you, this small tip has completely changed my life for the better.
