From June 2020 onwards, overseas students (and other nationals) requiring a UK visa will be able to take one of Pearson's English Tests to fulfil the UK Visas and Immigration criteria (UKVI). So, both IELTS and PTE are acceptable. Now, it depends on you which test you find easier to score in.
