Manitoba, Quebec, and British Columbia Invite Immigrants

The most recent number of invitations sent to applicants through their respective provincial immigration systems has been made public by British Columbia, Quebec, and Manitoba.

Every province and territory, with the exception of Quebec and Nunavut, has its own provincial nominee programmes (PNPs).

These programmes for economic immigration give provincial governments the ability to choose applicants who will most likely successfully integrate into their economies while addressing critical labor shortages.

Immigration is a collective responsibility among the provinces and the federal government.

PNPs provide provinces the chance to select individuals they think would live there permanently and integrate effectively, but Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has the final decision regarding the granting of permanent resident status to any applicant.

The immigration policies of Quebec are unique from those of the rest of Canada in that the province is responsible for their administration.

Quebec alone has the power to control immigrants from each and every economic background.
