What is FSWP

What is the eligibility for FSWP?
There are certain requirements which the candidates must fulfill in order to meet the eligibility criteria. These basically include:
- Work Experience: Minimum one year of continuous, full-time, work experience in a skilled field which should be completed within the previous 10 years. Or a part-time experience of equal time. Skilled work experience refers to NOC Skill Level 0, A, or B.
- Language Proficiency : Minimum score of Level 7 of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) in approved English or French language test.
- Education: The applicants must have A minimum of a Canadian high school diploma or the equivalent in foreign education.
- Financial Support: sufficient funds to support the stay of the applicant and their family including any spouse and children (if any).
- Residence in Canada: As Quebec has different immigration policies the candidates Mustnot live in the province of Quebec.
Fulfilling the above requirements, the candidates must score a total of 67 points out of 100 in order to complete the eligibility criteria. If you meet the FSWP entry grid of 67 points, they can submit their Express Entry Profile under the Federal Skilled Worker Program. You also must meet the Criminal and Health requirements as people with criminal history and certain health conditions are not allowed to enter Canada.
How can you apply: if you fulfill the eligibility criteria, then you can submit your application as an Express entry profile to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
You will not get permanent residency by submitting the application even if you have minimum eligibility criteria. After submission of EE, you will be assigned a CRS score and candidates with high CRS score will get the invitation to apply through the EE draw.

The language proficiency test results are essential to determine the language proficiency of the candidates. The test must be recent as most tests are valid for only two years. You can take IELTS, CELPIP for english and TEF, TCF for french.
- Identification Documents
- Valid travel documents for Candidates will be required. Also IRCC can ask for additional ID documents in some cases. Documents of family members are also required if you are applying with them.
The candidates who received the Invitation to apply will successfully reach the next stage of their express entry profile. A total of 60 days are given to submit the permanent residency application, which requires additional documents.
The lowest score of 413 points received an ITA. so if you have a score lower than this you should improve your CRS score. Update your work experience and other relevant information regularly.
How much time does it take to process an FSW application?
The application profile for FSWP remains for 12 months. If You are selected and get an ITA, you will need to submit the permanent residency application within 60 days.
