You are working in a company offering IT services. Your company is conducting survey to know ways to improve working environment. There are two options :

Option A: Give a salary hike to all the employees on the basis of experience.

Option B: Give a salary hike to all the employees on the basis of educational qualification.

Option A: Give a salary hike to all the employees on the basis of experience.

As an employee of an IT services company, I believe that the most effective way to improve the working environment is to increase all employees' salaries proportionally to their years of service.

Salary is a significant determinant of job satisfaction, and employees who believe they are being fairly compensated are more likely to be motivated and productive.

By offering a salary increase based on years of service, the company can demonstrate that it values its employees' contributions and is committed to fostering their professional development.

Additionally, a salary increase can aid in reducing employee turnover and attracting new talent. Offering competitive compensation is essential for retaining top talent and attracting new candidates in today's highly competitive job market.

It is essential to note, however, that a salary increase may not be sufficient to improve the working environment. Other important considerations include a positive company culture, opportunities for growth and development, and a supportive work-life balance.

In conclusion, offering a salary increase based on experience to all employees is an effective way to improve the working environment and boost employee satisfaction.

By demonstrating that it values its employees and is committed to supporting their career development, a company can retain top talent and attract new candidates, resulting in a more successful and productive workplace.

Option B: Give a salary hike to all the employees on the basis of educational qualification.

As an IT services company employee, I believe that offering a salary increase to all employees based on their level of education may not be the most effective way to improve the workplace.

Despite the importance of educational credentials, they are only sometimes a reliable indicator of an employee's worth to a company. Experience and on-the-job skills can also play a significant role in an employee's ability to successfully perform their job.

Therefore, a salary increase based solely on academic credentials may not accurately reflect an employee's overall value to the organization.

In addition, offering a salary increase based on an employee's education level may create a sense of division among workers. Those with a higher level of education may feel entitled to higher salaries and may view those with a lower level of education as less valuable to the company, which could lead to conflict and a decline in morale.

Instead, offering a salary increase based on experience would be a more effective means of enhancing the workplace. The company can increase job satisfaction and motivation by recognizing and rewarding employees for their contributions and skills on the job.

In addition, providing opportunities for growth and development can assist employees in advancing their careers within the organization.
