Writing Task 1:Writing an Email

Writing Task 1:Writing an Email

Write an email as You successfully passed a job interview. You are expected to start on the first of the next month, but you will not be available on that date.

Write an email to your new boss in about 150-200 words. Your email should do the following things:

- Explain your situation

- Express your concern

- Suggest the possible solution

Sincerely, Mr John.

I regret to inform you that I will not be able to join the company on [Starting Date], as previously agreed upon. I was looking forward to starting my new position on this date, but an unforeseen circumstance has prevented me from doing so.

I would like to express my concern and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause the team and the organization.

I am aware that my tardiness in starting may disrupt the workflow, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. I promise to make every effort to minimize the impact of my delayed start.

As a potential solution, I propose that we investigate the possibility of delaying my start date by a few weeks. This will allow me sufficient time to resolve my personal issues and ensure that I can begin my new position with a clear head and full dedication. I am willing to discuss this issue further and find a mutually satisfactory resolution.

I apologize once more for any inconvenience my delayed departure may cause. I am thrilled to be joining the company and look forward to contributing to its future success.

Thank you for your support and understanding.

Sincerely,

ABC
