Hostel management has decided to upgrade the security in and around the campus. The management  has sent out an opinion survey to see what residents would like to have as new security measure.

Option A: New HD Night Vision Cameras covering the area around the hostel.

Option B: Installing biometric locks on the doors.

Option A: New HD Night Vision Cameras covering the area around the hostel.

As a resident of the college dormitory, I believe that installing new HD night vision cameras would be an excellent addition to our existing security measures. The addition of high-quality cameras with night vision capabilities will increase the hostel's level of security, as cameras have been proven to be an effective deterrent and investigative tool.

The installation of cameras will provide residents with a sense of security, as they will feel safer knowing that the area surrounding the hostel is being monitored. In the event of any suspicious activity, the cameras can record footage that can be used to identify and prosecute the perpetrator.

Additionally, installing new HD night vision cameras can assist in preventing theft, vandalism, and other criminal acts. This will benefit not only the hostel's residents, but also the surrounding community, as crime will decrease and the area will become safer to live in.

It is essential to note that the installation of cameras must be accompanied by proper training for security personnel and stringent protocols for the handling and storing footage. Residents' privacy should also be respected, and cameras should be placed only in public areas.

In conclusion, I consider the installation of new HD night vision cameras throughout the hostel to be an excellent idea, which I wholeheartedly support.

Option B: Installing biometric locks on the doors.

As a resident of the college dormitory, installing biometric locks on the doors would be an excellent addition to our existing security measures. Utilizing a person's unique physical characteristics, such as fingerprints or facial recognition, biometric locks are an innovative and sophisticated form of security.

Installing biometric locks will enhance the hostel's security by restricting room access to authorized personnel only. This will prevent theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities, providing residents with a sense of safety and security.

In addition, biometric locks eliminate the need for physical keys, which can be lost or stolen. This will save the administration time and money, as they will not need to frequently replace keys or alter locks. In addition, biometric locks can provide a record of who entered the room and at what time, giving security personnel a useful tool for monitoring hostel activity.

In conclusion, installing biometric locks on the doors of the college hostel would be an excellent addition to our current security measures. It will increase the level of security, prevent theft and vandalism, and save the management time and money.
